Sometime around the new year, I noticed my trash can lid sitting outside my house, but there was no trash can to go with it. This isn't the first time my trash can has gone missing. On every other occasion the can was missing because of wind. Normally I would just walk across the street and pluck the can from the retention pond. This time, there wasn't a windy day all week and my trash can is nowhere in sight.
